Ricky Hatton has warned Mike Tyson about returning to the ring - 15 years after his last fight.

The boxing icon has revealed his ambitions to return to the ring to compete in charity fights, and has recently been training to get into shape ahead of a potential comeback. 

And after Tyson wowed fans by engaging in a ferocious sparring session in a Youtube video, Melbourne boxing promoter Brian Amatruda immediately got on the phone to arrange a charity bout for the former world heavyweight champion.

But Hatton who retired from the sport in 2009 before returning to the ring three years later, believes Tyson should be careful.

'Mike's in a good place now,' Hatton told IFL TV. 'A few years ago, not when he bit [Evander] Holyfield's ear and all that, even when he retired he wasn't in a very good place.
