The midfielder has enjoyed another impressive season for the Eredivisie side, scoring 14 goals and providing seven assists in all competitions, before the Dutch top flight was scrapped due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The 23-year-old admitted the transfer market had been complicated by the virus, calling it 'a messy period', although he stressed things could have been different without the worldwide chaos.

'It is very messy, in any case a very messy period in terms of transfers,' he told Fox Sports. 'Nothing is certain yet. I am still a player of Ajax and I am still proud to be there.
