Ronnie O'Sullivan made a bold statement in the English Open first round as he beat Frenchman Brian Ochoiski with his nails painted pink.

The gesture said he 'wanted to give decent TV exposure' to breast cancer awareness charity Future Dreams.

World snooker champion O'Sullivan, who revealed he went to a nail salon to get them done before his English Open first round, is hopeful some of his peers make similar statements in the coming weeks.
