Phil Foden has fiercely defended England boss Gareth Southgate and said that his critics 'don't know what they're talking about'.
Southgate has seen his team selections against both Croatia and Scotland heavily scrutinised, with questions asked over the roles of Jadon Sancho and Jack Grealish.
Sancho has yet to feature at all in the opening two games while Grealish is still pushing for a first starting role.
Foden, who has started both of the Group D games so far, has looked to set the 'negative people' straight on Southgate, a man he describes as a 'great coach' that has the full trust of his players.
'He's a great coach and working with him every day I get to see what he's like,' Foden told talkSPORT.
'He always has the players' backs and I believe that his tactics are great.
'All these negative people don't know what they're talking about because Gareth's a great coach. In training all the technical players like me and Jack so if I get the opportunity to play with him that's up to Gareth really.
