Robinson, 27, is being investigated over sexist and racist tweets posted in 2012 and 2013. The tweets emerged during his Test debut against New Zealand at Lord’s last month.
Since then, he has played only two T20 games for Sussex, both at the end of June. Now he will play for Manchester and replace Harry Gurney, who has retired with shoulder trouble.
