England made history at Wembley on Wednesday night as they set up their first ever European Championships final against Italy after a nail-biting 2-1 win over Denmark.

The Three Lions were stunned in the first half when Mikkel Damsgaard netted a long-range free kick to send the Danes into delirium, but Simon Kjaer scored an own goal just before half time to draw England level.

Gareth Southgate's men were dominant throughout but the game went to extra time after missing a string of opportunities - with Harry Kane slotting home the winner from the spot after Sterling had been clipped in the area, sending the 60,000 strong crowd into ecstasy.
