Gareth Southgate is reportedly in line to receive a knighthood if England go on to win Euro 2020, while Harry Kane and Raheem Sterling could have their MBEs upgraded with victory on Sunday.
Southgate has guided the Three Lions to the first major tournament final since 1966 and their first European Championship final after they emphatically beat Denmark 2-1 in extra-time on Wednesday evening.
Italy now stand in England's way of glory on Sunday, where the two sides will battle it out to be crowned as European champions at Wembley in a historic moment for the nation.
And should Southgate mastermind one of English football's greatest achievements in living memory, the 50-year-old will be in line for a knighthood, according to the Telegraph.
The report goes on to suggest that Three Lions captain Kane and England sensation Sterling will also be due upgrades on their MBEs should they lift the trophy under the iconic Wembley arch.
While the European Championship isn't viewed as the pinnacle of international football, with the World Cup viewed as a greater honour, winning this summer's tournament would certainly merit calls for Southgate and his men to be recognised for their achievements.

The Telegraph claim that those in charge of the honours system view the Euros as being on par with England's Rugby World Cup and Cricket World Cup triumphs.
England's rugby team lifted the World Cup in 2003, with Sportsmail columnist Sir Clive Woodward knighted for the achievement, while the whole squad were given CBEs, OBEs or MBEs as a result.
More recently, England's cricket team were given the same honour after their dramatic World Cup final win over New Zealand at Lord's in 2019.
While the Three Lions are just one game away from joining their contemporaries in British sporting history, Southgate's transformation since taking over in 2016 has been there for all to see.

After a hugely disappointing exit from Euro 2016 at the hands of Iceland, Southgate went on to guide England to a World Cup semi-final in 2018 and has now bettered that with a final appearance at this summer's European Championship.
The only other England managers to be knighted were 1966 World Cup-winning boss Alf Ramsey and Bobby Robson – who guided the team to the 1990 World Cup semi-finals, while his 2002 knighthood was more for his contributions to the sport in general.
Southgate was awarded an OBE in 2019 for becoming the first England boss to reach a World Cup semi-final since Ramsey while Kane was given an MBE for winning the tournament's Golden Boot in Russia – where he finished as top scorer with six goals.
Sterling received an MBE for his services to racial equality more recently and would likely be upgraded if England were to win.
