A security guard keeping a close eye on the action during Conor McGregor's latest bout with Dustin Poirier showed off his nerves of steel after he failed to flinch when the Irishman threw a head kick towards him and missed by inches.

He then quickly looked to turn his attention to the guard, who was standing a matter of feet away from him, and came close to making contact after stepping forwards and unleashing one of his signature kicks.

McGregor pulled away at the last second, however, and pointed at the member of security as if to prove he had been joking. But little did 'Notorious' know, the brave guard had remained frozen to the spot and didn't react.
