David Beckham is reportedly backing Phil Neville to succeed as Inter Miami manager – despite the club's horrific form that has seen them lose six games on the bounce.

Inter Miami, who are co-owned by Beckham, fell to a sixth consecutive defeat on Thursday after being thrashed 5-0 by New England - with the loss leaving them rooted to the bottom of the MLS Eastern Conference.

Neville was quick to issue an apology to Inter Miami fans after the embarrassing defeat but is set to have the backing of friend and former Manchester United team-mate Beckham, according to The Sun.
