Anthony Joshua's mega fight against Tyson Fury will hinge on the future of the Covid pandemic, admits promoter Frank Warren - who has poured doubt on the first bout taking place in the UK.

Joshua and Fury were all set to face off in one of the biggest fights in UK boxing history this summer before it was dramatically scrapped - with a court arbitration ruling that the Gypsy King must first take on Deontay Wilder for a third time. 

Now Joshua has moved on to Oleksandr Usyk - who he will face at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on September 25, with boxing fans hoping he and Fury come through their next fights to set up the all-British undisputed bout.

Warren has been discussing the possible fight and where it could be staged - with the original event supposed to be held in Saudi Arabia. 

The soonest it could take place would be 2022, and the promoter feels rising Covid cases will make finding a venue difficult - especially in the UK.
