Real Madrid have confirmed that star striker Karim Benzema has tested positive for Covid-19.
Los Blancos released a statement on Friday morning confirming that the French international returned a positive test, after only just joining the squad following his end of season break.
The 33-year-old had been resting up since France's shock elimination to Switzerland in the last-16 of Euro 2020 on June 28.
