Rassie Erasmus has been accused of 'losing the plot' after leaving fans stunned with his hour-long rant about refereeing decisions during South Africa's first Test defeat to the Lions.

The Springboks' coach has made his feelings clear about a number of decisions he felt went against his side during their 22-17 defeat last week, calling Mako Vunipola 'reckless and dangerous' after handling Cheslin Kolbe, and has retweeted clips highlighting mistakes made by officials.

Fans had even joked he had made a fake account to put the boot into the Lions after responding to the only two tweets the anonymous user, called Jaco Johan, had uploaded, and on Thursday his frustrations bubbled over as he put out a long video clip savaging World Rugby.

The eye-opening clip saw him take aim at officials over a perceived lack of respect towards his team, highlighting 30 decisions he feels they got wrong - calling some of them 'mind baffling', 'silly', 'comical' and 'incredible'.

Rugby fans were equally shocked by his in depth analysis and outspoken behaviour, with one accusing the coach of 'losing the plot', and another calling his video 'bizarre' and 'embarrassing'. 

'Bizarre video from @RassieRugby,' said one fan. 'I haven’t ever seen a game of rugby officiated correctly for every call. True, SA had bad calls but to go through it all so one eyed… the last part with the line out… SA had 7 players v the Lions 6… oh well,
