Formula One legend Sir Jackie Stewart fears that current drivers are 'taking more liberties' in regards to safety following Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen's controversial crash at the British Grand Prix.
The two title contenders were racing head-to-head in a thrilling opening lap at Silverstone back in July, before Hamilton tagged the Dutchman sending his rival spinning off the track at 51 times the force of gravity and into a safety barrier.
Hamilton was blamed for the incident by race stewards on the day, picking up a 10-second time penalty, but it failed to prevent him still going on to win his home grand prix while his rival was taken to hospital before being released shortly after
