They will lose 12 County Championship points or two in either the Vitality Blast or Royal London Cup - dependent on the competition in which the offence occurs - while captain Colin Ackermann will serve a one-match suspension if it does so on his watch. The punishment parameters were set at a remote hearing by the Cricket Discipline Commission following six fixed penalties for the club under Ackermann’s leadership over the past year.
