Bryson DeChambeau has insisted he has no regrets over not getting vaccinated against Covid-19, explaining that he would rather jabs were given to 'people that need it' despite not being able to compete at the Olympics.

DeChambeau, 27, had been ruled out of jetting to Tokyo after returning a positive test, but will return to competition on the PGA Tour this week at the WGC-FedEX St. Jude Invitational in Memphis, Tennessee.

And, as reported by the Golf Channel, he has now claimed that his decision was partly taken to ensure that others would be protected instead of him.

Former US Open champion DeChambeau, following the strict protocols surrounding the Olympics, was required to take three Covid-19 tests on consecutive days, all 24 hours apart. Negative results were needed to fly out.
