With just under a month before the transfer window slams shut, Premier League clubs are already scrambling to improve their squads before the start of the new campaign.

A number of big-money moves have already been sanctioned this summer with Jadon Sancho getting his £73million move to Manchester United, while Arsenal have forked out £50m on Ben White

And as we creep closer to that August 31 deadline, there is plenty more business is yet to be done. But who is destined for a move? Sportsmail takes a look through each of the 20 Premier League teams to determine who they could be signing on the dotted line to solve their problems...

Arsenal

Mikel Arteta has plenty of work to do if he is to get Arsenal back in the hunt for a top-four spot on a regular basis.

The Gunners are looking to put a woeful 2020-21 campaign behind them and the £50m acquisition of Ben White from Brighton has helped plug a gaping hole in their defence.

Nuno Tavares and Albert Sambi Lokonga's arrivals have also helped fill out a couple of spaces in defence and midfield but now Arteta is looking for more firepower up top.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang hasn't quite lived up to the billing since he put pen to paper on a new lucrative long-term deal last year, which has led to other options to be considered to provide healthy competition up top.

Chelsea's Tammy Abraham looks destined for a move away from Stamford Bridge while Inter Milan's Lautaro Martinez is also wanted by the Gunners but could cost a lot of money.

Meanwhile, Arsenal are also reportedly considering a double-raid on Sheffield United for goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale and midfielder Sander Berge. The Gunners are said to be baulking at the Blades' £40m demand for Ramsdale, believing an offer of £30m is more appropriate.

Players they are interested in: James Maddison (Leicester), Lautaro Martinez (Inter Milan), Aaron Ramsdale (Sheffield United), Tammy Abraham (Chelsea), Martin Odegaard (Real Madrid)

Aston Villa

In a transfer saga that lasted all of five minutes, Aston Villa made the shock announcement on Wednesday that they had completed a £30m move for Southampton's Danny Ings.

Villa are having to face the reality of losing Jack Grealish to Manchester City for £100m with supporters hoping that money will be fully reinvested into the squad.

And a lot of it has given how Villa have already brought in Leon Bailey from Bayer Leverkusen for £30m, Norwich's Emi Buendia for £40m and secured a return for Ashley Young ahead of the new season.

Watford's Will Hughes is also on Villa's radar

However, with just under a month left, more signings could be on the cards to complete a spectacular window – even with the loss of their talismanic captain.

Villa have been linked with a move for Denmark's Mikkel Damsgaard as a like-for-like replacement for Grealish while Watford's Will Hughes and Norwich's Todd Cantwell are also on Villa's radar.

Southampton's James Ward-Prowse is also a target for Villa and are set to make another bid for the England midfielder.

Players they are interested in: Mikkel Damsgaard (Sampdoria), Will Hughes (Watford), James Ward-Prowse (Southampton), Todd Cantwell (Norwich), Axel Tuanzebe (Manchester United)

Brentford

Having secured the signings of Kristoffer Ajer from Celtic (£13.5m) and Frank Onyeka from Danish club Midtjylland (£9m), Brentford are set to remain as busy Bees for the rest of the window.

Another raid of Midtjylland for midfielder Jens-Lys Cajuste is on the cards, with Newcastle also interested in the Swedish footballer.

Nottingham Forest's Brennan Johnson is also attracting interest from Brentford while Lorient's Yoane Wissa is an option up top in what is their debut Premier League season.

Henrik Dalsgaard and Emiliano Marcondes have both left the club earlier this summer so reinforcements are certainly needed for their campaign in the top flight.

Players they are interested in: Yoane Wissa (Lorient), Brennan Johnson (Nottingham Forest), Jens-Lys Cajuste (Midtjylland)

Brighton

Following Ben White's mammoth £50m sale to Arsenal, Graham Potter is weighing up his options on how to improve the squad.

With Enock Mwepu already costing £18m from RB Salzburg, plus the two additions of Benfica's Jeremy Sarmiento and Ajax's Kjell Scherpen, there is still a lot more to be done to improve this Seagulls squad.

Brighton have been linked with another Benfica player, Darwin Nunez, who would be brought in to help ease the load up top, given how much the club struggled with putting the ball in the back of the net last season.

Potter is also an admirer of Liverpool's Nathaniel Phillips, who is being linked with a move away from Liverpool in order to get more game time.

Getafe's left-sided player Marc Cucurella is also being considered given how versatile the Spaniard is. Cucurella mainly operates on the left wing but can fill in at left-back, too.

Players they are interested in: Darwin Nunez (Benfica), Nat Phillips (Liverpool), Marc Cucurella (Getafe)

Burnley

While Sean Dyche's future remains up in the air, the Burnley boss is still planning for the season ahead – but will once again not be afforded huge lumps of money in doing so.

Nathan Collins has been brought in from Stoke for an undisclosed fee, while Wayne Hennessey joined on a free from Crystal Palace after Tom Heaton returned for Manchester United earlier this summer.

Like their claret and blue counterparts Villa, Burnley are also interested in Hornets midfielder Will Hughes while Maxwel Cornet is wanted at left back.

Derby County's Jason Knight is also on Burnley's wishlist, with the 20-year-old also a target for Newcastle.

Players they are interested in: Will Hughes (Watford), Maxwel Cornet (Lyon), Jason Knight (Derby)

Chelsea

After winning the Champions League in his first six months at Stamford Bridge, Thomas Tuchel has set the bar extremely high for himself at a club that is known for being cut-throat if continued success isn't achieved.

Tuchel will need to invest in his squad if he is to push Manchester City for the title and bringing Romelu Lukaku back to west London appears to be high on the agenda.

Tammy Abraham no longer seems to be in Tuchel's plans and has been linked with a move away from the club so bringing in a striker is essential.

Erling Haaland is also a target for the Blues but his mammoth price-tag has put a number of suitors off while Borussia Dortmund are adamant that the Norwegian star won't be going anywhere this summer.

Chelsea have also been linked with a move for Sevilla defender Jules Kounde, with Sportsmail revealing last week that they are currently in talks with the Frenchman.

Kounde has attracted interest from City and Manchester United in recent years, having impressed in LaLiga. But it's Chelsea the front of the queue for the Frenchman, who has a £68.4m release clause in his contract.

Monaco's Aurelien Tchouameni is also being viewed as an ideal replacement for Declan Rice, who could cost northwards of £100m.

Players they are interested in: Romelu Lukaku, Erling Haaland, Jules Kounde, Aurelien Tchouameni (Monaco), Declan Rice (West Ham)

Crystal Palace

Patrick Vieira has been very busy in the transfer market since arriving at Selhurst Park last month, completing deals for Conor Gallagher, Marc Guehi (Chelsea, £18m), Joachim Andersen (Lyon, £17m) and Michael Olise from Reading, for £8m.

Reiss Nelson is being linked with a loan move south of the Thames to Palace from Arsenal, who will likely be tempted at linking up with the Gunners legend in Croydon.

While Nelson could help with supplying the goals from the wing, Palace are looking at Adam Armstrong as the man to lead them next season.

The £15m-rated striker backed up a 17-goal haul in the 2019-20 campaign with a return of 29 goals last season, finishing second in the Championship's goalscoring charts to Brentford striker Ivan Toney.

Bournemouth's Arnaut Danjuma is also wanted after his stellar campaign in the Championship last season, too.

Players they are interested in: Adam Armstrong (Blackburn), Reiss Nelson (Arsenal), Morgan Rogers (Man City), Arnaut Danjuma (Bournemouth), Ademola Lookman (Leipzig)

Everton

Carlo Ancelotti's departure from Goodison Park sent shockwaves round Merseyside – and there was an even bigger aftershock when Liverpool legend Rafa Benitez was appointed his successor.

And after years of spending big in order to keep up with the Premier League's big boys, the Toffees have become a little stuck in recent seasons.

Now after years of excessive buys that really haven't lived up to the billing, Benitez has been instructed to get Everton back in the mix for a European finish while working with limited funds.

Demarai Gray's £1.7m arrival from Bayer Leverkusen is their only outgoing on transfers as it stands, while Andros Townsend and Asmir Begovic have arrived on frees from Crystal Palace and Bournemouth respectively.

However, Benitez is still hoping to have more players arrive through the doors at Goodison, with Sporting midfielder Matheus Nunes wanted by the Spaniard.

Benitez also hopes to bring in a long-term successor to Seamus Coleman, with PSV's Denzel Dumfries attracting interest after a stellar campaign at the Euros with Holland.

Players they are interested in: Dwight McNeil (Burnley), Denzel Dumfries (PSV), Matheus Nunes (Sporting Lisbon)

Leeds United

Following their return to the Premier League, Marcelo Bielsa's Leeds proved to be a popular hit with the neutrals, given their attacking football and never-say-die attitude making them hard to root against.

But while Bielsa will be hoping to improve on their very respectable ninth-placed finish, the Argentine boss will know fresh blood is needed.

Junior Firpo (£13m) and Jack Harrison's (£11.5m) arrivals will show that Leeds are ready to flash the cash this summer in order to keep their place in the top flight.

Alongside Firpo and Harrison, Bielsa is also targeting moves for Huddersfield's Lewis O'Brien, Brugge's Noa Lang and Daniel James from arch-rivals Manchester United.

Reports suggest the Terriers have already rejected a bid from Leeds for O'Brien while the Whites have reignited their interest in James after missing out on the Welshman last summer.

Players they are interested in: Lewis O'Brien (Huddersfield), Noa Lang (Club Brugge), Daniel James (Manchester United)
