Eddie Hearn has revealed that Chris Arreola is the 'frontrunner' to face Dillian Whyte in his homecoming fight in October.
The promoter confirmed on Wednesday that 'the Body Snatcher' would be lacing the gloves up once again at a blockbuster event at the O2 Arena on October 30 but didn't reveal who Whyte would be going up against.
Hearn has now told talkSPORT that Whyte is likely to face American heavyweight Arreola in the ring.

33-year-old Whyte avenged his defeat to Alexander Povetkin with a fourth-round knockout in Gibraltar in March and is now set to make his boxing return on the mainland.
It has been billed as something of a homecoming, with Whyte having not fought on home soil at a high profile British boxing arena since meeting Oscar Rivas in 2019.
'With everything opening up, [it's] the opportunity for him to fight at the O2 again,' said Hearn.
