The Kansas City Chiefs are currently sitting at the bottom of the AFC West with a 2-3 record, and things need to change quickly for this team if they want to make it six straight division titles. The Chiefs have already tried to make a big addition on offense by signing veteran receiver Josh Gordon, and another addition could be down the line.

On Tuesday, ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reported that the Chiefs "have looked into" trading for Indianapolis Colts running back Marlon Mack. Kansas City's starting running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire went down with a sprained knee in Week 5, and is expected to miss a few weeks. With the Chiefs now down to Darrel Williams and Jerick McKinnon, an addition to the running back room would make some sense.

Mack and the Colts have also reportedly agreed to explore trade options, as second-year back Jonathan Taylor has begun to emerge into a legitimate star. If the Chiefs wanted to make a move at running back, then Mack absolutely makes sense. Andy Reid and the Chiefs got a good look at what Mack is capable of back in Week 5 of the 2019 season, as he gouged Kansas City for 148 total yards en route to a 19-13 Colts victory.

Mack has rushed for 85 yards in three games this season, including a season-high 47 yards against the Baltimore Ravens on Monday night. The USF product was originally drafted by the Colts in the fourth round of the 2017 NFL Draft. His best seasons came in 2018 and 2019, when he rushed for a total of 1,999 yards and 17 touchdowns over the span of 26 games.
