The Tennessee Titans were able to upset the Buffalo Bills on Monday night, 34-31, but they suffered a couple of big losses along the way. Left tackle Taylor Lewan was stretchered off the field after sustaining a head injury, and the Titans had three other players leave the game and not return. One was first-round pick cornerback Caleb Farley, and his injury is reportedly season-ending.

Hours after Tennessee moved to 4-2, Titans Insider Paul Kuharsky reported that Farley suffered a torn ACL. The Virginia Tech product was making his first career start after fellow cornerback Kristian Fulton was placed on injured reserve. Now, it looks like Farley will be joining him on IR -- except for a longer amount of time.

Farley recorded two combined tackles before going down with his knee injury on Monday night, and recorded four combined tackles and one pass defensed overall in three games played. This is a notable development for a couple of reasons: One, the Titans are incredibly thin at cornerback, and two, Farley's injury history casts doubt on his future and potential.

Farley was considered by some to be the top cornerback in this past draft class, but he fell all the way to No. 22 overall due to injury concerns. Farley tore an ACL in college, had a back injury which hurt his draft stock and lingered into training camp and preseason and he suffered a shoulder injury which forced him to miss Weeks 2-4. A tough start just got tougher for the young corner, and he will now reportedly have to turn his attention to 2022.
