Who's Playing

Detroit @ Los Angeles

Current Records: Detroit 0-6; Los Angeles 5-1

What to Know

The Los Angeles Rams will be returning home after a two-game road trip. They will take on the Detroit Lions at 4:05 p.m. ET next Sunday at SoFi Stadium. The Rams will be strutting in after a win while Detroit will be stumbling in from a defeat.

Los Angeles made easy work of the New York Giants on Sunday and carried off a 38-11 victory. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 28-3. Los Angeles' success was spearheaded by the efforts of WR Cooper Kupp, who caught nine passes for two TDs and 130 yards, and QB Matthew Stafford, who passed for four TDs and 251 yards on 28 attempts.

Los Angeles' defense was a presence as well, as it collected three interceptions and one fumble. SAF Taylor Rapp picked up that interception and then proceeded to rub salt in the wound by taking it back the other way for a touchdown.

Meanwhile, a win for Detroit just wasn't in the stars on Sunday as the team never even grasped a temporary lead. They suffered a grim 34-11 defeat to the Cincinnati Bengals. The Lions were down 20 to nothing at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from. QB Jared Goff had a memorable game, but not in the way you want to be remembered: besides failing to produce a single touchdown, he threw one interception with only 4.81 yards per passing attempt.

Detroit's loss took them down to 0-6 while Los Angeles' win pulled them up to 5-1. Detroit's offensive line will need to gear up for a tough test against a Los Angeles defensive front that amassed four sacks against the Giants, so we'll see if they are up to the task.
