Tom Brady admitted Monday -- jokingly or not -- that Byron Kennedy, the Buccaneers fan who infamously got and then gave up the ball from Brady's 600th career touchdown pass, should've held onto the ball for more leverage in negotiations with the team. The Bucs, of course, have since gifted Kennedy a package of tickets and memorabilia in exchange for the historic football, but Brady isn't the only one who thinks the fan could've gotten more. Cowboys owner Jerry Jones told 105.3 The Fan on Tuesday that he would've played hardball if Mike Evans had given him the ball, pressuring Tampa Bay to bestow even more riches.

"I'd be hard to trade with," Jones said, per NFL Media's Kevin Patra. "I would explain to everybody that's like asking me for my baby. And then I'd tear up for them a little bit when I think about how I'm gonna have that (ball) when I'm 90 ... Then, after all of that, then I'd take offers."

Proof that Jerry Jones is, in fact, an NFL owner and businessman? Sure. But you wonder if it'll make Kennedy second-guess the offer he took from the Bucs. In exchange for Brady's 600th TD ball, valued at approximately $500,000 by Goldin Auctions, the 29-year-old fan has so far received: two signed Brady jerseys and a Brady helmet, a signed Mike Evans jersey and Evans' game-worn cleats, $1,000 to the Buccaneers' team store, and season tickets through the rest of 2021 and all of 2022. Brady has also chipped in on his own by gifting Kennedy a Bitcoin, the QB said Monday, which is valued at just under $63,000.

Stay tuned for Bruce Arians, Roger Goodell and other NFL leaders offering their own retrospective negotiation strategies.
