Vinicius Junior has stated his desire to stay at Real Madrid 'for a long time' following his impressive start to the season, but insists the club are yet to open talks regarding a new contract. 

The 21-year-old has scored nine goals - including a brace in the weekend's win at Elche - and laid on five assists in all competitions so far this term for Carlo Ancelotti's men.

His current contract - the one he signed aged 16 when his £39.4million (€46m) move from Flamengo to the Santiago Bernabeu was confirmed in May 2017 - runs through until 2025.
