The Las Vegas Raiders and New York Giants will square off at MetLife Stadium for a Week 9 matchup on Sunday afternoon. Las Vegas is coming into this game following a Week 8 bye and will look to continue what has been a strong start to the season as they've gotten out to a 5-2 record. Meanwhile, the Giants are looking to rebound from a loss to the Chiefs on "Monday Night Football" that dropped them to 2-6 on the year.

In this space, we'll specifically be looking at the different betting angles that this game has to offer. Along with the spread and total, we'll also take a look at a number of player props and hand in our picks for how we see this matchup unfolding.

Line movement

Latest Odds: New York Giants +3

This line initially opened at Raiders -2.5 leading into Week 8, but following the events of the weekend it jumped up a half-point to hit the field-goal mark at Raiders -3. That change occurred late Sunday and has held firm throughout the week.

The pick: Raiders -3. Las Vegas will certainly have the rest advantage over the Giants in this game as the club enjoyed a Week 8 bye while New York is coming off another one-possession loss on Monday night. Not only that, but the Giants continue to be banged up at the skill positions and just had a COVID-19 debacle this week that saw running back Saquon Barkley miss practice time. The Raiders have moved the ball well offensively as of late as they rank third in the NFL yards per play (6.4) over their last three games. Meanwhile, the Giants are second-worst in the NFL in yards per play (4.4) over that same stretch.

Key trend: Giants are 1-5 ATS in their last six games following an ATS win.

Over/Under total

This total has moved around a decent amount throughout the week after opening at 47. It jumped up to 47.5 on Sunday and then started to dip beginning on Tuesday. The number fell as low as 45.5 before recovering slightly to 46.5 heading into the weekend.

The pick: Under 46.5. Both of these teams have offenses that haven't exactly lit the world on fire this season as the Raiders rank 18th in offensive DVOA while the Giants sit at 27th. Meanwhile, they've both held opponents to under 23 points over their previous three games entering Week 9, which includes an effort by the New York on Monday where they held the Chiefs to just 20. With injuries still impacting New York and the Raiders releasing deep threat Henry Ruggs III after he was arrested and charged with DUI in a fatal car accident on Tuesday, both offenses are in a bit of a state of flux, which has me leaning under.

Key trend: Under is 7-0-1 in Giants last eight home games.

Player props to consider

Josh Jacobs total rushing yards: Over 59.5 (-115). Jacobs has yet to go over this number this season, but has a strong matchup against the Giants in Week 9. New York ranks 21st in the NFL against the run in DVOA and is allowing 4.4 yards per carry. While Kenyan Drake will steal some touches, Jacobs should see the lion's share of carries giving him a strong opportunity to go over.

Hunter Renfrow total receiving yards: Over 55.5 (-115). With Ruggs off the roster, there are more targets to go around in Las Vegas. While Renfrow won't replace that ability to stretch the field, he'll certainly be
