The Philadelphia Eagles (3-5) are coming off of their biggest win of the season since Week 1, but they face a tough test on Sunday against the Los Angeles Chargers (4-3). Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert hasn't quite looked like himself over the past two games, which had a bye week in between. He hopes to find his rhythm against an Eagles defense that gave up 620 passing yards in Weeks 6 and 7.

The game gets underway at 4:05 p.m. ET from Lincoln Financial Field. Caesars Sportsbook lists this game as a pick'em, while the over-under is set at 49.5. In select markets, Sunday's matchup can be seen live on CBS and streamed live on Paramount+ with their must-have Premium plan.

Paramount+ now has levels of membership so you can watch your local NFL on CBS matchups and much more. The Premium Plan is $9.99 per month and you can watch your local CBS live stream, including plenty of sports like SEC on CBS, NFL on CBS, and the PGA Tour, with no ads, on demand and the ability to download episodes for offline viewing. Both plans come with a free week to start and include the NFL on CBS, so sign up now here.

Before entering any Chargers vs. Eagles picks, you'll want to see the NFL predictions from the advanced computer model at SportsLine. The model, which simulates every NFL game 10,000 times, is up almost $7,800 for $100 players on top-rated NFL picks since its inception six-plus years ago. The model enters Week 9 of the 2021 season on an incredible 128-86 run on top-rated NFL picks that dates back to the 2017 season.

The model also ranked in the Top 10 on NFLPickWatch four of the past five years on straight-up NFL picks and beat more than 94 percent of CBS Sports Football Pick'em players four times during that span. Anyone who has followed it is way up.

For Eagles vs. Chargers, the model predicts that the Chargers win this game in over 50 percent of simulations. Los Angeles has already flown across the country twice this season with mixed results. The Chargers opened the season with a 20-16 win at Washington. Things didn't go nearly as well the last time around, when they lost 34-6 at Baltimore on Oct. 17. Herbert completed just 56 percent of his passes against the Ravens, but was even worse at home last week against New England.

Philadelphia quarterback Jalen Hurts hasn't been much better throwing the ball as of late, and has fewer than 115 passing yards in two of his last three games. The Chargers have allowed the third-fewest passing yards in 2021 and have done a decent job of pressuring quarterbacks even though they have a modest 14 sacks this year.

The Eagles have called the third-fewest blitzes in the league this season, and even though they have only allowed 1,765 passing yards, opposing quarterbacks have completed 74 percent of passes against them. The model predicts Herbert will snap out of his lull in a big way, throwing for over 280 yards and 1.80 touchdown passes.
