The Arizona Cardinals still do not yet know if they will have starting quarterback Kyler Murray on the field when they take on the Carolina Panthers this Sunday. According to Cardinals head coach Kliff Kingsbury, Murray's status will be a game-time decision for the second consecutive week.

"You got to try to win every game you have an opportunity to win," Kingsbury said. "So, if he is ready to go, he'll play."

Murray sustained an ankle injury during the team's Week 8 loss to the Green Bay Packers on "Thursday Night Football." He did not practice in the lead-up to last week's game against the 49ers, but the Cardinals still took until Sunday to rule him out of the game.

Colt McCoy started in Murray's place, and the Cardinals still managed to defeat their division rivals. In addition to Murray, wide receivers DeAndre Hopkins (injury) and A.J. Green (COVID-19) missed the Week 9 contest, while running back Chase Edmonds was injured on the game's first play and did not return.

Murray did not practice on either Wednesday or Thursday this week but returned to practice on Friday. The upgrade in availability is a sign that he is trending in the right direction, but the Cardinals want to see how he feels on Sunday morning.
