What to KnowThe Seattle Seahawks are 1-3 against the Green Bay Packers since December of 2016, but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit next Sunday. The Seahawks will take on Green Bay at 4:25 p.m. ET at Lambeau Field after a week off. Seattle should still be riding high after a big win, while the Packers will be looking to get back in the win column.
Everything went Seattle's way against the Jacksonville Jaguars last week as they made off with a 31-7 victory. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Seattle had established a 24 to nothing advantage. Seattle QB Geno Smith was slinging it as he passed for two TDs and 195 yards on 24 attempts in addition to punching in one rushing touchdown.
Meanwhile, Green Bay was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Sunday as they fell 13-7 to the Kansas City Chiefs. No one had a standout game offensively for the Packers, but WR Allen Lazard led the way with one touchdown.
The Seahawks are now 3-5 while Green Bay sits at 7-2. Two stats to keep in the back of your head while watching: Seattle ranks first in the league when it comes to thrown interceptions, with only two on the season. Green Bay is not quite as good, but they are no chumps, either: they come into the contest boasting the fourth fewest thrown interceptions in the NFL at four. So expect both teams to feel comfortable airing the ball out.
