FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- At long last, Jakobi Meyers has found the end zone. At the 4:13 mark in the fourth quarter of Sunday's Week 10 matchup between the Patriots and Browns, Meyers was able to haul in a sideline pass at the Cleveland 9-yard line, shake his defender loose, and dive into the end zone for the first time in his career. That score was the cherry on top of what was a dominating day for New England as they rolled to a 45-7 win.

The touchdown itself has been a long time coming for Meyers, who is in the midst of his third season with the Patriots. Over that time, a receiving touchdown has eluded him to a historic degree. Coming into Week 10, he owned the record for most catches (131) and most receiving yards (1,511) by a receiver in league history without scoring a touchdown.

Upon scoring and finally getting over the hump, Meyers was met by essentially the entire Patriots sideline, who sprinted into the end zone to celebrate with him.

"Just the fact that everybody celebrated with me and it finally happened, that's a moment I'll probably hold on to forever," Meyers said. "The fact that everybody celebrated with me means more than the touchdown. I feel like it says a lot about your teammates ... I know they've been waiting on it."

"I didn't know it was going to come from Hoyer," Mac Jones joked when speaking about Meyers' touchdown postgame, noting that it was backup quarterback Brian Hoyer who actually threw it to him once he relieved him late in the second half.

"It was great," Jones continued. "I was super excited. We were out together and the ball – I was so concerned about the ball. I was like, 'we've got to find the ball.' I guess they found it. That was good. But I think Jakobi is a great teammate and he's a great team player and that's much deserved and he's going to get more. From here, hopefully we just keep stacking them up and there will be a bunch."

Meyers finished his day catching all four of his targets for 49 yards along
