An illness has Lamar Jackson officially inactive for the Ravens' road game against the Bears on Sunday. Baltimore changed Jackson's status to questionable on Saturday afternoon. He was a full participant during Friday's practice after missing practice on Wednesday and Thursday. While the Ravens have not specified the type of illness the former MVP is dealing with, it is not related to COVID-19. Jackson did report to Soldier Field on Sunday to try and play through the illness, but CBS Sports NFL insider Josina Anderson reported prior to him officially being listed as an inactive that he is "not doing well enough to play."

Jackson will now miss what would have been his first start against the Bears, who are coming off a bey week after beginning the year at 3-6. Including the playoffs, Jackson is 25-2 when facing a team for the first time and he's also 12-0 against NFC teams, so this is naturally a big loss for Baltimore.

Entering Week 11, Jackson's 2021 season has rivaled his MVP season of 2019. He's thrown for 2,447 yards and 14 touchdowns while completing 64.4% of his passes. He has also rushed for 639 yards and two touchdowns while averaging 6 yards per carry. Jackson has more than 400 more rushing yards than Baltimore's second-leading rusher.

With Jackson unable to go, second-year quarterback Tyler Huntley will make his first career start. He has thrown 16 career passes in the regular season, including 11 in relief during Baltimore's Week 7 loss to the Bengals. Huntley amassed more than 8,500 all-purpose yards and 63 touchdowns during his four years at Utah. The Ravens also elevated QB Trace McSorley from the practice squad on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Baltimore also ruled out receiver Marquise Brown, who was initially listed as questionable with a thigh injury. Brown was limited during Friday's practice after missing practice on Wednesday and Thursday. Brown has caught 52 passes for 719 yards and six touchdowns this season.
