Throughout the 2021 NFL season, Crown Royal has been giving back and showing their gratitude to those who protect this country. As part of The Purple Bag Project, Crown Royal has created a Kickoff with Crown Royal Initiative, as fans in NFL stadiums can pack Crown Royal bags as care packages for active duty military proudly serving overseas.
Beginning in September of 2010, mission of The Purple Bag Initiative was to ensure that soldiers overseas "were reminded that heroes at home truly admire and acknowledge their relentless service to this country." In the 11 years since, nearly one million bags have been sent to active military overseas. Each care package is packed with handwritten notes, non-perishable food, personal care items and essentials.
Since 2010, Crown Royal has donated millions of dollars to those who serve everyday Americans -- including the military, hospital workers and and the small businesses that "make our communities what they are." Crown Royal has partnered with Hall of Fame safety Ed Reed, who has helped spread Crown Royal's initiative.
"With everything that happened in this past year and a half, I know small businesses need as much help as possible," Reed said of teaming up with Crown Royal, via ESNY. "Crown also gives back to military vets. So that's the biggest thing that you can take from it, is the giving-back part."
This season, Crown Royal is also committing up to $1 million to the community that makes game day great. As part of Crown Royal's That Deserves a Crown Initiative, they are celebrating local hospitality and service members who are making a positive impact in their communities. These fans are honored in NFL stadiums every Sunday. Winners receive tickets, a ride to the game, an in-stadium celebration and a gift from Crown Royal and their local NFL team.
