PAISLEY PARK (Newbury, 3.00) hasn’t quite entered the last-chance saloon of his career at the top level but the doors are swinging open ahead of his bid to win a second Ladbrokes Long Distance Hurdle.
The 2019 Stayers’ Hurdle winner appeared decidedly ring rusty on his Wetherby comeback in the bet365 Hurdle and must try to overturn a five-length defeat at the hands of Indefatigable.
Connections are optimistic he can do just that, citing a lack of fitness as the contributory factor to his comeback defeat while also equipping the nine-year-old with cheekpieces to concentrate the mind.
