The 43-year-old missed last weekend’s 3-3 draw at home to Brentford after learning he had contracted the virus less than 24 hours before kick-off. Howe has been isolating in his hotel room for the past week but the club have now confirmed he is free to travel to London for the lunchtime kick-off. If so, that would suggest Howe is still within his 10-day isolation period. However, the Premier League say each case is judged on its own merits and if all medical departments are satisfied it is safe after a negative PCR result, then it is possible for individuals to be released from isolation.
