Portugal legend Luis Figo has hit out at critics who are suggesting Cristiano Ronaldo is to blame for Manchester United's downfall this season.

Ronaldo, 36, has found the back of the net on 10 occasions so far this campaign, six more than fellow countryman Bruno Fernandes and teammate Mason Greenwood, who are both behind the United talisman in the current goalscoring pecking order.

United have lost five of their last seven matches in the Premier League, with their most recent coming in a 4-1 drubbing at the hands of Watford at Vicarage Road last Saturday, resulting in the sacking of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
