The Tampa Bay Buccaneers were engaged in one of the most intriguing battles of Week 12 on Sunday, as Tom Brady and Co. battled the Indianapolis Colts down to the wire in a dramatic 38-31 victory. The Buccaneers' defense knew coming into the contest it would have a tough task containing star running back Jonathan Taylor. The physical matchup lived up to its billing. Just ask Bucs defensive tackle Vita Vea, who was actually bloodied while fighting in the trenches.
In the second quarter, Vea's helmet became dislodged while rushing the passer. He engaged Mark Glowinski inside, and his naked chin met the offensive guard's helmet -- which sent one of his pearly whites flying. Check out what happened, here:
Buccaneers coach Bruce Arians was asked after the game about Vea remaining in the contest despite losing a tooth.
"I don't care," Arians said, via ESPN's Jenna Laine. "He's got 30 other ones."
Thankfully Vea appeared fine after the play. In fact, as you can see, TV cameras picked up images of him smiling as he made his way over to the sideline! Vea is back in the lineup this week after missing last game with a knee injury, and it doesn't look like he's going to let a lost tooth hold him back this Sunday.
