Jody Morris, Frank Lampard's former Chelsea assistant manager, has questioned the timing of Thomas Tuchel's substitutions during his side's 1-1 draw with Manchester United.  

"Morris was appearing on Malaysian TV channel Astro SuperSport after Sunday's game at Stamford Bridge and he insisted he would have liked the German to have made more attacking substitutions earlier on.

Tuchel did not make any changes to his starting line-up until the 78th minute of the clash, bringing on Mason Mount and Christian Pulisic for Marcos Alonso and Callum-Hudson Odoi.

But, despite boasting 66 per cent of possession and having 24 shots, the Blues were unable to break down United's resilient defence and could only claim a point as they gave up ground to Manchester City and Liverpool in the title race.
