Michael Owen says Mohamed Salah has transformed from 'average finisher' to an 'unbelievable goalscorer' and claims the Liverpool forward must be handed a 'big contract'.

Salah became the first player since Ian Rush in the 1980's to score at least 20 goals for five successive seasons after finding the back of the net during Liverpool's Champions League clash with AC Milan on Tuesday night. 

Rio Ferdinand believes Salah's impeccable goalscoring ability is down to his 'supreme confidence', while Peter Crouch labelled him as 'the best player in the Premier league at the moment'.

Salah scored his record-breaking goal from the rebound of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain's strong right-footed effort in the 36th minute of the game.
