Lionel Messi has been praised by fans for his 'wholesome' and 'humble' reaction to Robert Lewandowski being named as 'The Best' Men's Player of the Year by FIFA for a second year in a row.
The Bayern Munich star retained the award he picked up last year following a prolific 2021 in attack for the Bundesliga giants, with Messi grinning from ear-to-ear as the decision was read out by FIFA president Gianni Infantino.
With the event being mostly virtual, Messi's reaction was filmed on a live feed from his hotel in Paris and the Argentine couldn't help but smile as the Polish star was awarded the prize.
