Why the Titans can cover

Tennessee has been rolling without its best player, but will now get star running back Derrick Henry back from his foot injury. He was on pace for his second straight 2,000-yard season, leading the NFL with 947 rushing yards, when he was injured in Week 8. D'Onta Foreman filled in and rushed for 566 yards in nine games. The Titans are 8-0 straight-up and against the spread with more than eight days to prepare under Mike Vrabel. Quarterback Ryan Tannehill is a steady presence and can make big plays when he has AJ Brown and Julio Jones available. Both are healthy and average close to 14 yards per catch.

The Bengals are strong against the run, but Larry Ogunjobi is the latest defensive tackle who could be out with injury, and star pass-rusher Trey Hendrickson is dealing with a concussion. The Titans defense will be after Joe Burrow all day, as the Bengals' quarterback has been sacked 53 times, most in the NFL. Tennessee gets pressure from Harold Landry (12 sacks), Denico Autry (nine) and Jeffery Simmons (8.5) without having to blitz. Safety Kevin Byard has five interceptions and two forced fumbles, recovering one.

Why the Bengals can cover

The underdog is 4-1 against the spread in the last five meetings. Cincinnati's offense is high-powered and faces a Tennessee defense that ranks 25th against the pass (245.2). Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow averaged 296 yards per game during the regular season and threw for 244 last week. He had 249 yards, two TDs and no interceptions in the 31-20 win against the Titans last year and now has star rookie Ja'Marr Chase on his side. The receiver had 1,455 yards (18 per catch) and 13 TDs in the regular season and had nine catches for 116 yards last week.

The Bengals also have star running back Joe Mixon, who had more than 1,500 total yards and 16 TDs in the regular season. The Bengals are fifth in the league against the run (102.5) and will force Tannehill to beat them. He has thrown 14 interceptions, so linebacker Logan Wilson (four INTs) and cornerback Chidobe Awuzie (14 passes defended) will have to be ready.
