Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano have confirmed they will finally go head to head in a groundbreaking event for women's boxing at Madison Square Garden on April 30.
A mega-fight between Taylor, the current undisputed lightweight champion, and Serrano, a former world-titlist in seven weight divisions, has been mooted for a number of years.
The pair, universally considered the top two female fighters on the planet right now, were set to battle it out for pound-for-pound supremacy back in 2020, only for their proposed showdown to fall through due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
