David Moyes took aim at UEFA on Wednesday over their proposed changes to European qualification in favour of traditional big clubs, saying West Ham want to win the Europa League to prove a point.
UEFA want to change the rules so that FA Cup winners can qualify for the Champions League — but only if they are a club with a history of success in Europe.
The idea, in line to be introduced in 2024, has been likened to the failed European Super League bid because of the favouritism it shows to the elite.

Moyes says the new rules are unfair to clubs like West Ham, who face Lyon in their Europa League quarter-final first leg at the London Stadium tonight and are now looking to rub their European success in UEFA’s face.
