The South Sydney Rabbitohs will call the Sydney Football Stadium home for the first time in almost two decades from next season.

The Bunnies left the Moore Park venue for Stadium Australia in 2005 to grow their membership but are set to return east for the 2023 NRL season, according to the Sydney Morning Herald.

Built on the same site that host the Sydney Football Stadium between 1988 and 2019, the new $828million arena - which is set to be named Allianz Stadium - will have capacity for 45,000 fans and is expected to open in time for the NRL finals later this year.
