Alastair Clarkson's prospects of taking over at the Gold Coast Suns appear to be dwindling by the day, with the club's players reportedly throwing their full backing behind Stuart Dew.
Dew entered the 2022 campaign under huge pressure to provide results with the coaches future at the Suns facing increasing uncertainty amid links with the Hawthorn legend.
AFL chiefs are reportedly in favour of Clarkson taking the job in a bid to kickstart the expansion club, which has largely failed to pull its weight since its first season in the competition back in 2011.
