Netherlands regular De Jong starred under Erik ten Hag at Ajax between 2016 and 2019 and is said to be available for around £65m if Barca can replace the 25-year-old with a major name. Barcelona's salary limit is finally not in negative numbers this summer but a planned £1.3bn stadium renovation and the £331m the club owes in deferred wages means they remain open to offloading players.
