When it rains, it pours. And in the glorious Monaco sunshine, things went from bad to worse for Daniel Ricciardo as he crashed out during practice on Friday.

Ricciardo has endured a torrid time since switching from Renault to McLaren in 2021, with the Australian star falling behind young team-mate Lando Norris in the pecking order.

The 32-year-old's poor form has seen him linked with an exit at the end of the season and McLaren boss Zak Brown revealed he was 'disappointed' with Ricciardo's form while reports have linked the team with a move for IndyCar driver Colton Herta next season.
