Addressing racism allegations against Rio Ferdinand's brother

Terry got caught up in a social media spat after the Manchester United icon placed the Chelsea legend fifth on his list of best centre backs in Premier League history.

Terry said that Ferdinand had a 'fragile ego' after placing himself as No 1 on his own list. While the former Manchester United defender wrote: 'The moment one has to start pushing their own records and stats it's really time to start addressing the fragile ego.

Ferdinand added: 'Your [sic] lucky I even put you in the top 5 after the racism case with my brother so be thankful you made it.'

Terry also drew criticism from another social media user who quote-tweeted him, stating: 'John Terry addressing the fragile ego part of the tweet and not the racist allegations is f****** killing me.'

However, Terry was having none of it and replied furiously saying: 'Stats don't lie 'NOT GUILTY' Addressed it now what?' alongside a clown emoji.

Terry also took aim at Rio Ferdinand by liking a tweet from a Chelsea supporter who told the latter to 'pipe down' and that he wasn't 'good enough' to lace his boots.

'Ohh you mean the racism case when he got cleared. Pipe Down Rio, you weren't good enough to Lace JTs boots,' the user wrote alongside a snippet of an article headline declaring Terry of being found not guilty of racism.

Calling a reporter an 'absolute plum' after removing the Premier League trophy from his NFTs on Twitter

Terry removed the Premier League trophy from his non-fungible token (NFT) after the iconic piece of silverware was used in digital assets promoted by the former England captain.

Footballers past and present have been making money from digital creations. NFTs are approximately sold at 0.05 Ethereum (ETH), which is currently priced at £93.79, plus an additional transaction fee.

Terry was promoting cartoons of baby apes on his Twitter page, which included illustrated images of the different trophies he won throughout his career.

One of the titles that surrounded the cartoon ape was the Premier League trophy, which is protected by its trademark. Therefore, the Premier League wrote to 'Ape Kids Club' to point out that they will need a licensing agreement to continue using it.

However, Terry dismissed the original reports from the Telegraph and referred to their reporter as an 'absolutely plum' on Twitter when the story was published.

Sharing tribute to Roman Abramovich amid UK government sanctions

Terry heaped praise on Roman Abramovich shortly after the news broke that the former Chelsea owner would be selling the club following the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

The Russian-Israeli billionaire confirmed his 'incredibly difficult decision' to sell Chelsea after it was revealed he would be sanctioned by the UK government because of his proximity to the Russian state.

Players and staff at Chelsea were somewhat blindsided by Abramovich's decision to sell as he announced the news with a statement on social media ahead of their 3-2 FA Cup fifth-round win at Luton.

Chelsea fans immediately responded by expressing their gratitude towards Abramovich, who has turned the club into one of the biggest and most successful in the world.

And few were more glowing in their praise than his former player Terry, who commentated: 'Thank you Roman. The Best Owner in the WORLD.'

Terry captained Chelsea to 16 trophies under Abramovich, including five Premier League titles.
