Lionel Messi equalled Cristiano Ronaldo's record of major international honours with Argentina's Finalissima victory on Wednesday. 

The 34-year-old's masterclass performance saw Argentina down Italy in a 3-0 win at Wembley as he provided two assists amid goals from Lautaro Martinez, Angel Di Maria and Paulo Dybala.

The Finalissima trophy delight comes 11 months after Messi led Argentina to Copa America success, ending their 18-year drought.
