Liverpool's lucrative deal for Benfica forward Darwin Nunez has been broken down - with the Reds set to pay around £47million initially as part of their £64m fee up front.

Nunez will earn around £140,000-a-week at Anfield after putting pen to paper on a six-year deal, and a number of conditions have been placed in his transfer by Benfica to ensure they profit after parting with their top forward.

The Uruguayan has been one of Europe's most coveted talents after smashing in 34 goals in 41 games for the Portuguese club, with Liverpool pouncing to secure his signature as they look to the future with both Mo Salah and Sadio Mane both at risk of leaving on free transfers.
