Jurgen Klopp may get his excuses in early as the 2022/23 Premier League fixture list has handed Liverpool a tricky set of games immediately after they play in the Champions League.
The Reds, Manchester City, Chelsea and Tottenham will all play group stage matches in Europe's elite club competition on the following dates: 6/7 September, 13/14 September, 4/5 October, 11/12 October, 25/26 October and 1/2 November.
Arsenal and Manchester United will compete in the Europa League in the same weeks, just one day later: 8 September, 15 September, 6 October, 13 October, 27 October and 3 November.
