Dean Saunders has touted Newcastle United as the perfect destination for Gareth Bale this summer.
Bale's contract with Real Madrid was not renewed and as such he will leave Spain after nine years.
With Wales having qualified for the World Cup, Bale needs to find a new team this summer. It had been suggested that the forward could retire this summer after enduring a difficult last few years in the game.

Speaking on TalkSport, Bale's fellow countryman Saunders said: 'If I could pick a club for him to go to now, I’d say sign for Newcastle.'
He added: 'They’ve got a project; they’re going in the right direction – he would slot in.
'The fans right now in Newcastle, because I’ve been there and I worked there – and I realise how much they love the club – right now they could sell 80,000 season tickets.'
Bale's future is unclear but it is certain that he will be looking to find a club this summer.
