WHITEOUT BROKEN FOR UKRAINE TRIBUTE
A rare splash of colour amid the white on Wednesday as Lesia Tsurenko took to the court for her match against fellow Ukrainian Anhelina Kalinina wearing a yellow and blue ribbon to represent her war-torn country.
Tsurenko was given permission to wear the ribbon by the All England Club, while Kalinina had the same tribute tied to her bag.
Tsurenko said after a three-set win: 'It's horrible what is going on in Ukraine. I feel terrible and I feel very guilty. I feel like there's nothing I can do. The only thing is continue playing, and I am donating 10 per cent of my prize money.'
