Gerard Pique asked Spanish FA president Luis Rubiales to move a Spain game so he could watch a tennis match, according to reports in Spain.
The news comes days after leaked audio revealed Real Madrid and Spain defender Sergio Ramos asked Rubiales for help to win the prestigious Ballon d'Or award.
And according to El Confidencial, Barcelona icon Pique tried to alter the calendar of the international team so he could attend a Davis Cup match with then-girlfriend and pop star Shakira.
